WOD 1

3-6-9-12-15-18-21…

thrusters

burpee over bar

40m sprint

In a relay format Dave sprinted to the bar completed 3 reps of each movement then sprinted back to tag Lee in who completed 6 reps of each. We continued on completed 9,12,18 and 7 reps into the 21 thrusters within a 7 min time cap. We finished 13th in this event so we had some work to do to move back into the top 12 to make the semi finals.

WOD 2

400m run 1st team member

40-30-20-10

power cleans at 50kg

ab mat sit ups

400m 2nd team member

We totally game planned this event!  We decided to take the first run nice and easy so we would have more energy to smash out the middle of the workout. We where second to last coming after the first 400m run, although like the A Team the plan started to come together and we smashed out the cleans and sit ups. Making us third out for the last 400m, we fished third in our heat although we had the 6th fastest time of the day moving us back into the top 10.

WOD 3

in relay format

50m bear crawl

50m OHWL 15kg

50m broad jumps

50m bear crawl

50m OHWL 15kg

50m broad jumps

This event was not our strength as it was the first time Dave had done a bear crawl. Yet he could bear crawl faster than he could run! We came 12th in this event so with this performance we made it into the top 12 fishing in 10th to make the semi final.

WOD 4 Semi Final

100m fire mans carry

40 KB clean and press

60 T2B

80 KB swings

100m fire mans carry

This was a great event for us.  We worked through the reps with awesome team work breaking on and off to maintain our intensity throughout. I felt Dave’s full 85kg on the sprint to the finish with him on my back. This event moved us up into 8th place for our overall finishing position for the day.
